The Town of Manitowish Waters adopted the Year 2022 Comprehensive Land Use Plan in April of 2003. The Planning Commission works continuously to revise and update our Town Zoning Ordinance so that it reflects and implements the recommendations of the Land Use Plan. In August 2017 we completed an extensive update of the Plan, now referred to as the Town of Manitowish Waters Comprehensive Plan.
Notice: We welcome your input and comments as to any facet of the Zoning Ordinance or Land Use Plan. We further welcome you to attend Plan Commission Workshops and regular or special meetings. The Plan Commission generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm (6:00 pm November thru March) at the Community Center or Airport Terminal Building. The zoning office is CLOSED, as are all town offices, until Monday March 30, 2020. At that time Town officials will determine whether to re-open town offices, or keep them closed until some future date.
