4:00pm-6:00pm

4:00pm – come enjoy outdoor games with the Camp Jorn Staff, then make Christmas Crafts with the North Lakeland Discovery Center, Manito Art League, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Fill your stomach with hot dogs, chili, hot cider & Christmas cookies baked by MW Lioness.

5:00pm – Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive, so you won’t want to miss giving him your Christmas list!

6:00pm – Lighting of our outdoor Christmas light display  – lit by Santa Claus!

Call for Building Committee Members

The Manitowish Waters Town Board is accepting applications from interested persons to serve on a Building Committee.  The purpose of the Committee will be to assist in the planning and provide input for the proposed addition to the Town Hall.  If you are interested in serving please call Dana Hilbert, Clerk/Treasurer, at 715-543-8400, email clerk@mwtown.org, or mail a letter of interest to PO Box 267, Manitowish Waters.  Applications will be accepted until 1 PM on Friday November 23, 2018.

Community Wildfire Protection Plan Workshop #2

Join us for the second Community Wildfire Protection Plan workshop on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:30pm. We will continue the discussion on wildfire risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and finishing our community plan. The workshop is open to the public, and we would love to have your input.

Community Wildfire Protection Plan Workshop

The Town Board and DNR are having a workshop on Tuesday, September 18th at the Town Hall starting at 12:30 PM to begin planning for the Community Wildfire Prevention Plan (CWPP).  Public participation is encouraged.  If you are interested in participating please come to the Town Hall  and learn about the program and how you can participate.

Alder Lake Road CLOSED

Alder Lake Road will be closed to through traffic from Little Manitowish Road to McIlvain Road Tuesday, September 4th – Friday, September 7th for the purpose of replacing a culvert.  Access to all residents up to McIlvain Road will  have to be from South Townline Road.  Access to all residents up to Little Manitowish Road will have to be from Powell Road.

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, please come to an informational meeting for a brief presentation by determined and hopeful MW organizers, and a Q&A with organizers of the successful Presque Isle Community Garden.
