Join us for the second Community Wildfire Protection Plan workshop on Wednesday, October 10th at 2:30pm. We will continue the discussion on wildfire risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and finishing our community plan. The workshop is open to the public, and we would love to have your input.

Community Wildfire Protection Plan Workshop

The Town Board and DNR are having a workshop on Tuesday, September 18th at the Town Hall starting at 12:30 PM to begin planning for the Community Wildfire Prevention Plan (CWPP).  Public participation is encouraged.  If you are interested in participating please come to the Town Hall  and learn about the program and how you can participate.

Alder Lake Road CLOSED

Alder Lake Road will be closed to through traffic from Little Manitowish Road to McIlvain Road Tuesday, September 4th – Friday, September 7th for the purpose of replacing a culvert.  Access to all residents up to McIlvain Road will  have to be from South Townline Road.  Access to all residents up to Little Manitowish Road will have to be from Powell Road.

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, please come to an informational meeting for a brief presentation by determined and hopeful MW organizers, and a Q&A with organizers of the successful Presque Isle Community Garden.
